Pray with Power, Position, and Privilege

I want the faith to walk in and pray with God’s power, position, and privilege.

And I want you to do the same.

POWER

Jesus said that He has all authority in heaven and on earth. That means He has dominion over every atom on this planet and every solar system in the universe. He rules over every angel and every demon. He is life, and He has conquered death. There is nothing He cannot do, and there is nothing outside of His control. Jesus has all power. That is the Jesus we know, love, and follow.

POSITION

Through Jesus we have been born again. Through this spiritual rebirth, we are adopted children of God. We are co-heirs with Christ. With the grace and righteousness of Jesus, we have access into the very throne room of the Father. He hears us. This is our position when we pray. This is our relationship with the Father and our identity in Jesus.

PRIVILEGE

When He ascended, Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to fill us and empower us to do everything that Jesus wants us to do. While our identity is found in being a “child of God,” our “mission” is found in being Christ’s ambassador. We function in this world as His witnesses. We represent Him, and we point people to Him. Jesus said that we could ask the Father anything in His name and He will do it. Jesus gives us the Privilege to love people like He does. All the power in the universe is available to us as we fulfill His command to “love one another.”
